so I just watched Melancholia and for about an hour and forty five minutes I was judging it pretty hard, but then the last half hour happened and I was absolutely stunned. and now I feel vaguely panicked.

(in the end, my verdict is this: it’s beautiful, it’s poetic, and it will punch your emotions in the face, but you need to go into it with patience and an open mind.)
